Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Mr. Eko in Lost, Simon Adebisi on Oz and Algrim in Thor: The Dark World, has joined the cast of HBO's Game of Thrones for the series upcoming fifth season.

The actor will be playing a character named "Malko," who does not appear in the books, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While Malko might not be a familiar name to fans who've read the series, it's somewhat similar to the name "Moqorro," a book character who is a priest of the Lord of Light, R'hllor. That character is described a large man with white hair, covered in red fire tattoos. As we saw in Thor, Akinnuoye-Agbaje looks pretty awesome with white hair.

Though not confirmed, it could be possible that Malko is simply a new name for the Moqorro character.

HBO isn't new to changing names in an attempt to make them easier to understand or to separate them from existing characters. Asha Greyjoy was changed to Yara Greyjoy, Robb Stark's wife Jeyne Westerling was changed to Talisa Maegyr and "Locke" is widely believed to be HBO's version of book character Vargo Hoat.

Whatever character Malko ends up portraying, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje won't be an entirely new faceto the whole cast, as he recently starred in Pompeii with Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow.
