This Brazilian pup may have just earned the title of "most fiercely loyal pet in existence ever" after it chased down the ambulance transporting its owner, who had just suffered a seizure. Eventually, the paramedics were forced to stop the ambulance and let the dog into the vehicle, the Brazilian news outlet Globo reports.
Once they arrived at the hospital, the dog refused to be separated from its owner and waited patiently next to his stretcher, Globo adds.
"We arrive in events sometimes and have animals that are shy, do not let us get close," Celiomar Ferreira do Couto, the paramedic who filmed the scene, told Globo. "But not this reaction. You get touched by the situation, right? Because (it shows) the love the animal has for the owner."
Man's best friend, indeed.
