I'm not a resident of LA or NYC, so I haven't been familiarized with LX.TV, a lifestyle and culture video network. I took a look at it today, and it definitely conjures up memories of the techno night life TV show that used to play at nights when I lived in South Florida (the name of the network escapes me at the moment). The shows are short and informative as well as peppered with unique humor from the host Mo Rocca (of The Daily Show fame).

Today, it was announced that the LX.TV network was snatched up by NBC Universal with aims to expand local programming to more cities in LX's high definition programming. The company was founded by former MTV executives Joseph Varet and Morgan Hertzan as Code.TV.

The terms of the acquisition are still undisclosed at the moment, but the rumor is that the deal was worth in the neighborhood of $10 million, according to PaidContent.
