The Mac turns 30 Friday, marking three decades of Apple innovation, design and power for personal computing.

Starting with 1984's Macintosh at a scant 8 MHz, today's iMac has an impressive 3.4 GHz processor. With such a drastic change, we can only imagine what computing will be like in another 30 years.

Statista's chart, below, shows the progression of the Mac's power in hertz since its debut.
