The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons are getting pumped up -- literally -- for their big performance in New York City on Thursday morning. Before Papa Smurf, Kermit and other classic characters float through the streets of midtown, they undergo the helium treatment to ensure maximum float-ability.
