Friendship is a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Mad Max: Fury Road's special effects and graphic violence might make it a breakout action hit, but there is always room for a little dose of feel-good magic to make it even better.

Custom toy creator Kelsey Wailes turned adorable My Little Pony figurines into dystopian freedom fighters Mad Max Rockatansky, Imperator Furiosa, Nux, and Immortan Joe. "Something is very funny about an adorable pony covered in motor oil and pieces of trash metal," said Wailes.

Wailes herself was inspired by the film when she was creating her merry band of magical, oppression-hating ponies. "Max is a great complicated character who without saying or doing much at all ... Furiosa is an amazing badass lady played by Charlize Theron who is a gift to this world," she said.

Each character was created using a vinyl My Little Pony toy, covering it in polymer clay, and using different accents like leather, acrylics, synthetic hair and sealants to add effects.

Wailes only created four figurines total and already sold all of them. She does not intend to make any more, unless they are for herself personally, she said.

The rest of the Internet can check out photos of Wailes' work on her DeviantArt page, Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram.

Nostalgic toy collectors, beware: the figurines are impressive, but have potential to ruin many childhoods. But, it is fun to think about Twilight Sparkle and her friends running around around Equestria and blowing stuff up.
