If you take only one thing away from Avalanche Studios' latest trailer for the Mad Max game, make it this: the Thunderdome is BACK. There's no sign of Tina Turner or Bartertown, but the spiky, chain-link death arena we love pops up -- briefly -- at the 3:55 mark.

The trailer also reveals that the game's villain goes by the name Scrotus (Avalanche Studios confirms it) as it runs through a broad overview of the gameplay and setting. Hand-to-hand combat seems to draw some of its inspiration from the Batman: Arkham series and Max's car -- the Magnum Opus -- is more than just a way to get around. It's also a tool for solving puzzles, uncovering secrets and blowing stuff up with rockets.
