We, as a society, have never deserved Nicki Minaj and we definitely don't deserve her right now.

Over two weeks after people started violating Minaj's wax likeness at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas, the museum is taking extra measures to stop people from being total garbage.

On Aug. 4, Madame Tussauds unveiled a statue of Minaj to celebrate the one year anniversary of her record-smashing "Anaconda" video, making her the first ever female rapper honored in wax.

But there was a problem with the statue -- they decided to depict Minaj on all fours, which is a fine for her to do in the video, but pure photo-op bait for immature visitors of the museum.

Minaj, for her part, saw it as an honor when the figure was rolled out.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!??!?? Had no idea they were really doing this. I would've went to Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda Madam Tussauds Wax Figure- whoever did this A video posted by Nicki Minaj (@nickiminaj) on Aug 4, 2015 at 10:27am PDT

they had the dancers ready and everything. so iconic. Thank u A video posted by Nicki Minaj (@nickiminaj) on Aug 4, 2015 at 10:45am PDT

But later that day, she tweeted about the disrespectful poses, expressing her opinion via side eye emoji.

Why must yall b this way https://t.co/4MyacuPryh— NICKI MINAJ (@NICKIMINAJ) August 4, 2015

The matter has gotten a lot of media attention in the past few days, partially due to the fact that Azealia Banks "predicted" the abuse (never mind the fact that Minaj publicly called out the behavior herself two weeks before).

Still, her point was solid, even if it was late. If you're going to put a female rapper in your museum devoted to celebrities for the first time, there is no need for her to be hyper-sexualized. Minaj holding pink hand weights would have been a cool message to send.

As much as that woman has accomplished, they had to put her on all fours... Why not standing up with a mic in her hand ???— AZEALIA BANKS (@AZEALIABANKS) August 12, 2015

All ppl are gonna do is go up to that statue and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt— AZEALIA BANKS (@AZEALIABANKS) August 12, 2015

And that's what they did.
