LONDON -- Have you ever thought about being getting proposed to? Sharing that special moment with every reader of the Observer Magazine probably wasn't the first thing that came to mind.

But for James Greig, that was the perfect way to ask his girlfriend Katie Moore to marry him.

According to the Guardian, the very public gesture, which coincided with Valentine's Day, is the magazine's first proposal cover.

Greig who is pictured on one knee holding a ring, is stood next to the words "Will you marry me, Katie?"

The proposal. Katie said yes! https://t.co/VSwh8LW1DP— Observer Magazine (@ObsMagazine) February 14, 2016

Having left their South London home to spend the weekend in the countryside, Katie received the copy of the newspaper with the breakfast and champagne.

The magazine later confirmed via Twitter that Katie said yes.

The couple who met in New York were in a long distance relationship until Moore took the plunge and moved to London.

Seems like it was all worth it in the end.
