Whenever actors film a lengthy TV series, do they sit down and watch it back when it airs?
For Dame Maggie Smith, the answer is a firm no. During her appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the actor not only revealed that she doesn't watch Downton Abbey, but she also admitted she's glad the show has come to an end.
"Oh yeah," says Smith, when asked by Norton in the clip above if she's glad Downton's over. "No, I really am... by the time we'd finished, she [the Dowager Countess of Grantham] must have been about 110. So we couldn't go on and on and on."
