Ma.gnolia is a new social bookmarking site. That's right folks - another one. It has an attractive interface with all the standard features - tagging, RSS feeds, even a Digg-like voting system. From the site:

Find and save your favorite website bookmarks with Ma.gnolia.com so you can get them from any computer, any time. And that’s only the start. In Ma.gnolia you’ll join a welcoming community of people and interest groups, all of them showing you what they’ve found on the web. If you’ve never tried social bookmarking before, you’re at the the right place to start. Joining Ma.gnolia is free, and so quick you’ll see what all the hype is about in just moments.

So yes, it's a good effort - but also a completely unimaginative one. How many more photo sharing sites, social bookmarking services, ajax start pages and online calendars can the market withstand? Is Ma.gnolia bringing anything new to the table, or just rehashing the same old formula? I think it's a shame to see talented developers and designers building me-too applications when there are so many great ideas still up for grabs.
