While Arya Stark sails off to Braavos, the actress who plays her on Game of Thrones is considering taking a lead role in The Last of Us, an adaptation of the 2013 hit video game.

Producer Sam Raimi and The Last of Us video game writer Neil Druckmann, who is also writing the screenplay, took the stage at Comic-Con on Friday to promote the project, which doesn't yet have a release date. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a fungus has turned many humans into zombie-like monsters, and tells the story of an older man and 13-year-old girl who reluctantly become a team to survive.

While the casting process is only beginning, the two hinted that they took a meeting with Maisie Williams (who plays Arya Stark in the HBO hit series).

"It was just a coffee," Druckmann said, "but we almost brought her out here." It must have gone pretty well.

The crowd approved. Later, when Raimi asked who they would like to see play the role of Elle, "Maisie!" was the only name shouted.

A new version of the game, The Last of Us: Remastered, comes out on Tuesday for PlayStation 4. The game won critical acclaim in 2013 with dozens of Game of the Year awards, including one from Mashable.
