The Force is coming to Verizon's go90 platform.

Disney-owned Maker Studios and go90 announced Thursday a slate of eight new originals -- including a Star Wars-themed series and a Marvel-themed series -- for the mobile-first, social entertainment platform.

Maker, a media company that distributes and creates online content on YouTube, first announced some of the series at its New Front presentation in New York earlier this year. Maker’s network is made up of about 55,000 independent creators who collectively draw in 10 billion views per month.

Disney bought the Los Angeles-based media company, which was then known as a multi-channel network, in 2014 in a deal valued at about $1 billion. The deal gave Maker access to Disney's vast stable of brands, including Marvel and LucasFilms.

The Star Wars-themed series, titled In A Galaxy, is a collaboration with Warrior Poets and Lucasfilm. It follows the lives of 22 Star Wars "super fans."

Marvel’s Off The Rack series taps into the Marvel Comics brand. It "follows traditional and digital stars as they experience some of the latest Marvel stories through discussions and re-enactments with special cameos from Marvel creators themselves."

Also on the platform: Geekenders (already live on go90), which follows online gaming stars Jesse Cox and Brooke Lawson, a.k.a. Dodger; Season 2 of Defining Beauty, a series from four African-American beauty influencers; Fantasy Quest, which explores a world powered by Minecraft; Polaris Grand Prix, an obstacle-strewn, video game-inspired go-kart race; Prank Schoolfeaturing YouTube magician Rahat; and Untitled Jabbawockeez Project, a dance competition series.

“Maker is committed to expanding our premium programming offering and finding audiences wherever they consume content,” said Sam Wick, Maker's executive vice president of business development and operations, in a statement.

In addition to those eight shows, Maker will also provide go90 with thousands of short-form videos refreshed monthly from its content library.
