The third trailer for Disney's Maleficent was released Tuesday, and it takes the deepest look yet at Angelina Jolie in her role as the Mistress of All Evil. The clip also reveals more of Elle Fanning's role as the young Princess Aurora and her distrustful relationship with Maleficent.
This modern take on Sleeping Beauty tells the fairy tale through the eyes of its iconic villain, sharing the elements of betrayal that lead her down a path of evil. Years after Maleficent places an irrevocable curse on Princess Aurora, she's faced with a challenge after learning that the princess may hold the key to keeping peace between the story's two fighting kingdoms.
Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg and produced by Brad Pitt. The film hits theaters on May 30.
