Talk about a ballsy move.

A Florida man's method of shoplifting involved shoving a chainsaw in his shorts -- and things didn't end well for him. (Don't worry. The saw wasn't turned on or anything.)

The man, who police have identified as 38-year-old Anthony Ballard, attempted to cover the large object from sight with his white tee. Unfortunately, this act -- not to mention, bulging white tee -- did not go unnoticed by Treasure Coast Lawn Equipment's surveillance cameras.

According to the Port St. Lucie police report, Ballard first asked the store clerk for change for his dollar bill and then proceeded to coolly place the saw in his shorts.

When police located Ballard later, they learned he had dumped the saw in the woods but had attempted to go back to the site to return it to the lawn equipment store.

It was all too little, too late. Ballard was arrested on a grand theft charge.
