Men's grooming trends are moving at a lightning speed. In 2015 we saw the top knot die, glitter beards boom and butt shaving become the newest regime. For 2016, we're declaring man braids as the new must-do, well, 'do.

Whether you're into braiding or not, the trend has been popping on social media for the past few weeks with dudes being bold about their twisted manes. Some have decided to create Heidi braids (that's braiding along the crown of the head), while others have opted for a cropped French braid.

I, for one, was rocking the style this past weekend in Los Angeles, where I spotted a couple of dudes sporting the look.
Always so good hanging out with @michellephan who always gives me that extra confidence and inspiration I need. Very thankful. A photo posted by David Yi (@seoulcialite) on Jan 15, 2016 at 6:42am PST
"The trend for 2016 will be all about braids," Michelle Phan, the YouTube beauty mogul informed me. "It's going to be huge this year."

Of course, the hair style is nothing new. Director Cary Fukunaga, most recently of the Netflix movie, Beasts of No Nation, caused the Internet's tongues to wag when he accepted his Emmy with two luscious braids.
Jared Leto did the same when he braided his long locks for last year's Golden Globes. And who could forget Harry Styles when his hair was groomed on the sides?
The jury is still out over how much staying power they have, but with over 2,000 photos with the hashtag, #manbraids, along with countless YouTube tutorial videos, we're betting that it's only getting bigger.
