We're afraid the prognosis is as we expected: Cats are the cuddly epitome of all evil.

One Stamford, Connecticut, cat owner learned this the hard way, when his fickle feline left him and his wife stranded outside of their home.

The man called 911 to alert authorities, saying its aggressive behavior had forced them to wait outside their home for upwards of three hours, ABC7 reported. The rogue cat reportedly attacked the couple so frequently that they left their house.

The 911 operator seemed appropriately baffled by the situation: "So, you want the police to come and remove the cat?"

According to ABC7, the dispatched officer eventually told the man to return inside, go to bed and steer clear of his spiteful feline for the remainder of the evening.

So, lesson learned: Don't piss off your cat.
