In the last few weeks, the internet has been rife with photographs of Chennai's deluged beach, streets, homes and malls. This video of a man helping a woman travel across a waterlogged road in the flood-hit city seems like a ray of hope amidst the gloom. Each step the woman takes is on a stool or plastic chair, promptly placed before her by the man.
While the identities of the two people remain unknown, the video has been been titled "The best husband ever" on YouTube.
Various low-lying parts of the city have been submerge following heavy rainfall caused by a depression in the Bay of Bengal. The ongoing floods have affected the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and resulted in the loss of over 150 lives.
