Amazon is going big with its alternate history drama, The Man in the High Castle.

And the above featurette, which you're seeing first on Mashable, shows exactly how big.

To create this world -- set in a universe in which the Axis Powers won WWII -- the team had to roll back time and then determine how one key moment in our history could change the trajectory of our future. Or as lead director Daniel Percival puts it, they had to create a world that was "challenging and yet vastly familiar."

"I can't imagine doing a show more ambitious or on a bigger scale than The Man in the High Castle," adds former X-Files producer Frank Spotnitz.

Spotnitz and the cast are set to talk more about the project this weekend at New York Comic-Con and at a screening event in New York City.

The show's panel takes place Friday, Oct. 9, at 4:15 p.m. at the Javits Center and the screening event will take place Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. at the IFC Center in New York City.

If you can't make it to the latter, Mashable will be streaming the event on Periscope. Follow @Mashable on Twitter for updates.

The Man in the High Castle will debut its entire 10-episode first season on Amazon Prime Nov. 20.
