When Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams wed in 2009, they were a strange yet somehow perfect match. The musicians were married for five years, in which they adopted eight cats and dogs.
Their love did really seem as sweet as candy, but now it seems there's some bad blood surrounding the responsibilities of caring for their furry brood. Love truly is hell.

The exes announced the divorce that inspired a Taylor Swift cover album back in January. It hasn't been finalized yet, though -- and their cats and dogs are at the center of the delay.
According to Moore's petition, obtained by TMZ, Moore is seeking spousal support to help care for their pets -- because her income is a quarter of Adams', and he has not taken two of their cats as he promised. "Although I love our pets, it is overwhelming for me to take care of eight of them all of the time," she says in the petition.
According to Moore, caring for the pets on her own has even disrupted her ability to work.
Moore says she "cancel a prior work engagement because my housekeeper was ill and unable to stay with our pets while I traveled for work ... Without Ryan's help caring for the house and our pets, I have not been able to work as much as I would like."
The pets at the center of the dispute are extremely cute, making the whole situation more of a heartbreaker.
