Living the worst nightmare of not just professional athletes but men everywhere, NBA star Manu Ginobili will miss at least four weeks for the San Antonio Spurs after undergoing surgery for a testicular injury.

Ginobili had the surgery performed after colliding with Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans during a game Wednesday night.

Ginobili was helped to the locker room after colliding with Anderson, and will now miss significant time as the Spurs chase the Golden State Warriors for the top playoff seed in the Western Conference.

"Manu Ginobili underwent surgery earlier today in San Antonio after suffering a testicular injury in last night's Spurs-Pelicans game," the team announced on its website Thursday. "Ginobili, who is out indefinitely, will be sidelined for at least one month."

The Spurs did not release any more information about the specific nature of Ginobili's injury or subsequent surgery. After Wednesday night's game, though, teammate Tony Parker seemed to know the groin shot was more than just a funny lowlight.

"I don't want to joke with that," Parker told ESPN on Wednesday night. "It doesn't look good."
