Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey has given us a gift one month early: the trailer for her Hallmark movie, A Christmas Melody. And yes, there will be glitter.

The elusive chanteuse directed and stars in the obvious cinematic masterpiece, which will premiere December 19. The movie comes in addition to Carey's children's book -- based on her iconic song, "All I Want For Christmas is You" -- which recently hit shelves.

The film also stars Lacey Chabert -- whom you know as Gretchen Wieners from Mean Girls -- as "a beautiful, stylish divorcee," and will feature an update on this classic scene:

Carey and Chabert play high school rivals who meet again after Chabert moves back to her hometown in Ohio. The two find themselves clashing at PTA meetings; Carey is the president, of course.

We can also confirm from the trailer that the movie features at least one puppy in a bow, and it is so fetch.
