LAS VEGAS -- On the eve of Mariah Carey's launch event for her Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, the five-time Grammy winner released a new song titled "Infinity."

The single -- released on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and YouTube (watch the lyric video, above) -- will be featured as the only new song on her upcoming greatest-hits album.

That compilation album, due out May 18, will include 18 of her singles that all have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since 1990. Carey has the most No. 1 Billboard singles than any solo artist ever. Her first was "Vision of Love" 25 years ago.

Mashable will be interviewing Carey live from Vegas on Twitter's Periscope app on Monday at 8 p.m. PT to discuss the residency, single and album.
