A trailer for the allegedly forthcoming fan-made live-action film based on Nintendo's classic Mario Kart franchise is making the rounds on YouTube and Twitter. Featuring hastily-applied facial hair and a few memorable wigs, the trailer tells the secret and shocking tale of Mario's past life.

A production of comedy troupe DrCoolSex, the film counters the myth that Mario lacks narrative appeal. We find out that plumbing was actually the mustachioed man's second career after racing, a sport he is called back "to race one more time" in order to avenge the death of his brother Luigi.
