Maroon 5's fifth album, V, doesn't arrive until September -- but on Monday, the pop rock band gave fans a preview of the album's first single.
"Maps" is everything you'd expect from a Maroon 5 single bound to get massive radio airplay; it's catchy with brooding lyrics and Adam Levine's indelible falsetto.

"I was there for you in your darkest times, but I wonder where were you when I was at my worst down on my knees," Levine sings.
V debuts on Sept. 2 and marks the return of keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, who was absent from the band's fourth album, Overexposed, in 2012. Producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Sam Martin worked on the project.
