Martha Stewart Asks Apple to 'Pick Up' Her Broken iPad via Twitter

Attention Apple: Martha Stewart would like to see you. Now.

The home-goods mogul shattered her iPad earlier this week, and told the world on Twitter. She then requested that an Apple rep pick up her broken tablet.

I am still waiting for an apple rep to come pick up my IPad. No action yey— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 26, 2013

Apple customers don't have the option to get their broken items picked up. The company's website directs customers to either take their product to the nearest store, or ship it via mail. But Stewart, who said late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs gave her the iPad, decided to make a special request, and was not impressed when she realized it could not be granted. Stewart then turned her irritation into an entrepreneurial epiphany.

As the day wore on, Stewart appeared to calm down, and later claimed she was joking in her previous tweets. The real frustration, she said, simply came from dropping her iPad.

So is it time to put out the fires and admit I was just pissed off at the fact my precious ipad shattered and I wanted to make light of it??— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 26, 2013

But Stewart's tone appeared to shift again, after she apparently got into a small spat with Apple's public-relations team.

Stewart later vowed to handle the ordeal "silently," but continued to tweet two more times about her iPad.

but it is impossible so i will deal with it all silently and hope that apple will fix everything so i can function again with proper tools— Martha Stewart (@MarthaStewart) September 27, 2013
