In Mary Lambert's new "Secrets" song, she comes clean with a bevy of new and old confessions, as if writing privately in a diary: "I can't think straight, I'm so gay. Sometimes I cry a whole day. I care a lot, use an analog clock," she sings in one verse.

To complement the single, the "She Keeps Me Warm" singer and Capitol Records launched #MarySecrets Postcards, a website where people can submit a secret. In return, the participant will receive another person's secret on a postcard in the mail.

"Even if they want to keep theirs private, it's the knowledge that their secret is free," Lambert told Mashable. "The postcards are because I love letters. Getting snail mail is one of my favorite indulgences, and I think receiving mail is actually a common joy."

Lambert said she wrote "Secrets" because she believes that vulnerability is powerful.

"'Secrets' is a super fun pop song, but I also wanted it to say something profound," Lambert said. "I hope that the song translates as an invitation to open up, to share our stories and to live unapologetically."
