Still using the ol' side-of-the-box trick to find out how many calories are in your food? That's adorable.

Like most things nowadays, there's a tech equivalent. Israel-based tech startup Consumer Physics, Inc., is working on a gadget called SCiO that analyzes the chemical makeup of food -- meaning you can scan your sandwich and get an (apparently) accurate breakdown of its nutritional values, from calories to trans fat to taste.

Elliott is skeptical about the idea in the newest episode of Mashable Minute. If ignorance is bliss, he rations, make sure whatever you're ignoring is something of the Taco Bell origin.
