One of the few times my wife is kicking my butt for not going out of town for a web conference is going on right now. For some reason, my wife is a huge fan of the Cavemen (of Geico commercials and ABC sitcom fame). Last night while just about everyone I talk to on a daily basis or is on my Twitter list (Pete, MG Seigler, Tamar, Muhammed Saleem, Kristen Nicole) was at the IHeartCaveMan Party in Austin, I tried to get someone, anyone, with a camera phone to record a brief video with Marty the Caveman giving my wife a shout-out. That ended up not happening for me because just about everyone I know has DM to SMS turned off, but there were a number of other great videos captured last night.
Peter Corbett sent us some footage of Marty giving Cashmore some advice on nabbing the women, attempting to get him hooked up with CNet's Caroline McCarthy, while Robert Scoble displays his "Mashable Rocks" fist.
Meanwhile, if it weren't for the sly sleuthing reporting Nicholas Carlson over at ValleyWag, I wouldn't know that Pete made a backroom deal to replace me with Marty as the staff caveman:
