Me.dium, the browser add-on tool that’s aiming for more social web browsing, is teaming up with "Tiki Bar TV" for the provision of a live, interactive episode for fans to join in on the fun with the show's own Dr. Tiki. The show premiers on August 22, at noon, PST, on Tiki Bar TV's website.
Tiki Bar TV is a popular, independent video podcast. Viewers with the me.dium browser plug-in will be able to watch the premier episode live, and chat with other fans as well as the show's star, Dr. Tiki. This allows Dr. Tiki to better connect with fans, and fans are more than passive viewers, but active participants in the show. Several shows that are broadcast over the Internet are incorporating this level of live chat, not only amongst other users, but with the show's host as well. Additionally, services such as NowLive enable users to chat with their viewers.
