Given the emergence of other social gaming networks like Kongregate which act as a hub for game developers and players, which typically reside in an environment that functions as a social network, it's clear that many other game-oriented sites need to follow suit. And in recent months, Nickelodeon has taken other steps to attract a wider audience and provide more inclusive features for casual gamers.

"Create and Share" games can be created, personalized and shared with friends, giving users the opportunity to participate in game development, and form content around their interests. EA Games has moved in a similar direction, launching Sims Carnival, where users can create their own games as well. It's a natural evolution that has taken longer to penetrate the casual gaming industry because of the obstacles in allowing an average user to create a game, but we'll see this continue to improve over time.
