A snap stays up on Snapchat for 24 hours and so did the hackers at the MasterCard Masters of Code™ hackathon grand finale in San Francisco.

Mashable was invited to the event, which was a year in the making. MasterCard hosted hackathons throughout 12 regions to find the world’s best developers and each winner of those regions earned a spot in the grand finale. Each team competed for the title of Masters of Code and $100,000 to help fund the innovative creation they present after just 24 hours of planning and hacking.

The MasterCard Masters of Code™ hackathon came to an epic 24-hour finale in Silicon Valley, and Mashable got to meet creative and tech-savvy talent from all around the world, from Singapore to Tel Aviv.
