"It's almost like you're inside the scene," says Amey Kanade of GoPano, which used a GoPano Plus camera lens to capture the 360-degree footage for the band and Atlantic Records.

Matchbox Twenty unleashed the original "She's So Mean" music video in July after teasing fans with daily photos on Twitter. The song is No. 58 on Billboard's Hot 100 and is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming album, North, which arrives Sept. 4.

"We wanted to take a different approach for a behind-the-video piece," Thanh Nguyen, digital marketer at Atlantic Records, tells Mashable. "GoPano's technology allows users to immerse themselves into the content and gives them a sense of control in regards to viewership."

GoPano's iPhone app lets you view and create videos similar to "She's So Mean."
