The “Me” Generation Alive and Well On T-Shirts Too

The “Me” Generation Alive and Well On T-Shirts Too

Here’s a different type of year-end list: the top words worn on t-shirts in 2009, according to the website Spreadshirt.

However, if you were looking for a counter-argument to the assertion that we’re all a bunch of narcissists, this isn’t it. The most used word on Spreadshirt created threads in 2009? “I”.

On the other hand, “you” came in at #2, while “team” was the #4 most worn word (though who knows how many “there’s no I in team but there’s an I in WIN” shirts were sold).

In the “names” category of Spreadshirt’s listings, Obama took the top spot, with the omnipresent Chuck Norris at #2, Washington Redskins star Chris Cooley #3, and someone who knows a thing or two about “me” -- Chad Ochocinco -- at #4.
