6 Halloween Lessons From ‘Mean Girls’

Pretty much everything in life can circle back to Tina Fey’s 2004 comedy Mean Girls, and Halloween is no exception.

As you get ready for the week-long celebration, remember the adventures and misadventures Cady Heron and her buds experience in the legendary teen movie. And be sure to avoid the bad situations.

Here are six Halloween lessons to be learned from Mean Girls.

1. Don't actually go for a "scary" costume. At least if you're over the age of seven.

2. Do not try to hook up with your cousin. Do we really need to tell you that this is not OK?

3. Don't traipse around in your Halloween costume in front of your dad. Unless you enjoy making him cry.

4. Do not sit on ledges. Embattled-looking women may cause you to fall.

5. Don't barge in on your friends tonight. They may pee themselves.

6. Do not call a girl "bro." Actually, this is applicable year-round.
