As you can see with the sample below, the way in which MeeID operates is very simple. It’s very sparse, and the visitor’s attention is immediately drawn to the data hub located in the center of the page. This is the express purpose of the design. Link what want to link. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, actually, that’s not entirely accurate. There are a few more pieces to the puzzle. If MeeID were a place solely reserved for personal links, it wouldn’t be much of treat. A bit of a bore, you might say. So there are some ancillary components that give it something of a well-rounded feel. Apart from the advertisement published below a user’s MeeID, there are a number of items to take note of in the upper right sliver of the window. For one, the site creator, Bronson Taylor, links a number of favorite MeeID members. (A menu drops down only when you mouse over the link.) These can be friends you’ve convinced to sign up with MeeID, or they can be individuals you’ve found through the service. (Here's my starter sample.)

In fact, there are two ways to discover people through MeeID. One is through the search bar adjacent to the user’s favorites. The other is via a very small and very nondescript rolodex-like icon to the right of the search bar. This will shuffle through the MeeID membership and send you to a random individual. Interesting? Maybe. Maybe not. But it’s there, and if you’re one of the many who enjoy a bit of user-influenced serendipity on the Web, this in your eye may well prove to be MeeID’s special sauce.

Of course, if you only wish to share your profile information without troubling with blog designs or aggregate your information in one social network or another - for the fact that you inhabit multiple such venues, or for some other reason - MeeID works just as well. You need not go further than your own persona.
