Smaller companies must be the most thrilling adventure ever for Google employees. Another one has been wooed away, this time by Meetup, a networking event company that grants weekly opportunities for startups to present their elevator pitch to the crowd. Dominic Preuss, who'd been at Google for over three years running its local ad business, has moved on to Meetup.
[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]With Meetup's current sponsor program, ads are done in an ad hoc manner and Meetup doesn't get any revenue from this. Bringing Preuss on board as the new VP of Marketplace at Meetup will change all of that. He'll be helping the company to create a new stream of revenue by coordinating sponsors with Meetups, and earning revenue from sponsors as well.
Preuss follows in the footsteps of Rajaram, Ullah , and Ling.
