The galaxy defenders are back for Men in Black 3, and as the new trailer discloses, time travel will play a major role. Will Smith's character, Agent J, will "time jump" backward to 1969, where he'll encounter a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones's Agent K (played by Josh Brolin).
The trailer doesn't tell us much else other than Agent K has mysteriously disappeared. Agent O (Emma Thompson) then says, "K has been dead for over 40 years." Yes, we're scratching our heads, too.
What we do know is 2012 is shaping up to be a big year for sequels with new movies from the Dark Knight, Twilight, Ghost Rider, Madagascar, G.I. Joe, Ice Age and Resident Evil series.
Men in Black 3 hits theaters May 25 in 3D and IMAX 3D. Men in Black -- based on a comic book series -- came out in 1997 and grossed $587 million worldwide. Its sequel racked up $441 million in 2002.
