Social video website Mesmo, Inc received a Series A round of $900,000 from Felice Ventures and Maple Investments. The company allows visitors to browse videos in a variety of ways including content, channels, and people. Also available to Mesmo users are share features for distributing and uploading videos from any website featuring video content.
Mesmo is a self-proclaimed video centric response to audio based communities like Last.fm where discovery is emphasized over search. The discovery focus has resulted in the ability to view your friend's video habits and of course the creation of a Mesmo Facebook application.
