Soccer demigod Lionel Messi is short in stature, but he casts a massive shadow over the beautiful game -- so large that it often eclipses fellow soccer superstars like Didier Drogba.
That's the premise of Turkish Airlines' latest clever ad, which hit YouTube on Friday and will likely be yet another viral success featuring Messi for the company.

In the spot embedded above, Drogba travels the world sampling exotic cuisines -- but can't escape Messi's popularity. Then, just when he thinks he's found a place where he's top dog ... well, we won't spoil the end for you.
In December 2012, a Turkish airlines spot featuring Messi alongside Kobe Bryant hit 20 million YouTube views in just five days -- "Gangnam Style," for comparison's sake, took a month to reach that mark -- and was hailed by many as 2013's most clever ad. A follow-up spot released last winter featured Messi and Bryant taking dueling selfies also became an online hit.
That's a lot to live up to, but this spot featuring Messi and Drogba seems a worthy successor.
