News of the Mets off-season trading has been rather quiet recently, but the team just landed a rather big addition to their stadium: coming in at 5,670 square feet, 13HD LED and 1.5 million pixels -- it's a new video board.

While fans haven't seen the trades they've been hoping for in the past couple of weeks, the team management announced Monday they are installing the new Daktronics video score board in time for the opening game against the Phillies on April 13.

At 54-feet tall and 105-feet wide, the new score board means Citi Field now has one of the top 10 largest displays in professional baseball," and will feature vivid image clarity and contrast.

“As we look forward to a great season on the field in 2015, these significantly bigger and higher resolution video boards are state-of-the-art in size and LED technology and re-inforce our commitment to provide our fans a superior experience when attending games at Citi Field,” Mets COO Jeff Wilpon said in a press announcement.

Those specs aren't the only large numbers Mets fans are paying attention to, however. The scoreboard announcement coincided with the news Mets rival Washington Nationals signed top free agent Max Scherzer to a seven-year contract for $210 million.
