So did MJ fans tune in? You bet! Ustream tells us that the total viewers across all streams was 1.8 million. Although this falls short of the millions of web users that tuned in for the live stream of Jackson's funeral, these are extremely impressive figures for a red carpet program.
"This Is It" opens in theaters worldwide today and as we mentioned yesterday, online pre-orders for tickets are incredibly strong. We won't know first day estimates until tomorrow, but with online buzz surrounding Jackson continuing to be so strong, I expect to see strong numbers (especially for a documentary.)
