Michael Jordan has finally joined Twitter. Well, sort of.

This time last year, the greatest basketball player ever said, perfectly, that he's "not a Twitterer, not a twerker." Yet here he is on Tuesday tweetin' up a storm.

The GOAT hasn't made his own account though; he's taken over the account of the Charlotte Hornets, the NBA team he now owns in his home state. And -- no surprise -- MJ's got some Twitter skills, too.

Jordan is tweeting from the Hornets account on Tuesday to build hype for the team as the NBA season opens on Tuesday night.

But first, let him take a selfie.

And, just like you, His Airness likes to start the day with a little coffee.

He first announced his Tuesday Twitter takeover by messing with all of our emotions in a tweet that references his famous "I'm back" fax that ended his first retirement in 1994. (That is a quality LOL, though, MJ.)

I’M BACK! …just kidding LOL. Trying out social media for the first time and sharing my day with you. Ready? #MJTakeover— Charlotte Hornets (@hornets) October 28, 2014

Just because Mike is richer than God doesn't mean he's above enjoying free stuff. Special perks, man. SMH.

Special perks of being owner, already got my commemorative ticket and shirt for opening night. Niiiiiice #MJTakeover pic.twitter.com/R8VnZPUZd3— Charlotte Hornets (@hornets) October 28, 2014

Never one to forget his role players, Jordan also gave a special shout-out to Hornets staff.

Then he sent sneaker-heads into a tizzy with this post showing many pairs of custom Air Jordans. (There are benefits to having your own shoe line, you know.)

Do you think I am serious about the new Hornets colors? #HornetsJs #MJTakeover pic.twitter.com/qTgBoeiucS— Charlotte Hornets (@hornets) October 28, 2014

And Mike even found time for a photo-bomb.

Between double-fisting cigars and tweeting like a teenager, it looks like MJ is enjoying life these days. Good for him.
