Oh, Michael, we were rooting for you.

On Sunday night, Michael Keaton lost the Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Birdman to Eddie Redmayne for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

While most of us fell under the charm of Redmayne's gracious and giddy acceptance speech, one Vine user captured a heartbreaking moment after Keaton learned he hadn't won.

It looks like Keaton quickly and subtly tucked a piece of paper -- likely his acceptance speech -- into his jacket pocket, never to see the light of day again.

Leo knows just how you feel (times 1 million).

Birdman did take home four Oscars on Sunday, though, including for Best Picture.
