Even though they've officially wrapped their milestone Season 40, SNL is not quite done delivering the laughs.
In the cut-for-time sketch above from the Michael Keaton-hosted hour that aired back in April, which you're seeing first on Mashable, the Birdman actor plays a totally whipped, oversharing owner of a sporting goods store who enlists the help of his wife (Aidy Bryant) to star in all of the store's commercials.

(During the season, SNL regularly ends up with a pile of sketches that were filmed during dress rehearsal but dropped from the lineup during the live broadcast, per the phrase "cut for time.")
The result is a cringe-worthy ad ripped right from the depths of local commercial purgatory, complete with awkward family cameos ("they're still getting used to Janine's presence in our house"), terrible jingles, and a "me hoop" (which is actually amazing and horrifying at the same time).
Return to Mashable every Monday afternoon for more cut-for-time gems from SNL Season 40.
