First Lady Michelle Obama has joined viral Internet platform Upworthy.

The position of guest curator will allow her to bring attention to her new focus on youth education. Obama will be writing the intros for a series of video posts, the first one of which is entitled "I Really Hope The Parents Of These People Get To See What They Said Here. They'd Probably Cry."

"Because our young people need to know that no matter where you come from or how much money your family has, you can succeed in college, and get your degree, and then go on to build a better life for yourself," Obama wrote in a 240-word post.

The move was announced in a press release by Upworthy and the White House.

Obama's Upworthy contributions will be part of her new Reach Higher Initiative, which seeks to "inspire America's young people to take charge of their future."

Obama joins George Takei as notable guest curators for Upworthy.
