Microsoft Licenses Flash Lite; Whoa, What About Silverlight?

And they say that Microsoft is not all about openness, sharing, and good deeds. Ah, the non-believers. Steve Jobs thinks that Adobe's Flash Lite sucks, but Microsoft has just licensed the technology for use on Windows Mobile smartphones. And that's despite the fact that they have a competing technology upcoming - Silverlight for Mobile.

In any case, we can now expect to see support for Adobe Flash Lite as well as Adobe Reader LE on Windows Mobile phones, integrated with the Internet Explorer Mobile browser. For the uninitiated, that's that browser that sucks and needs to be replaced with Opera to do any real browsing.
