The service lets you backup the contents of your mobile phone to a password protected web site; unfortunately, it currently works only with Windows Mobile 6+ based smartphones.

Now that we've mentioned its biggest flaw, which locks out anyone who's not using a WinMo smartphone, lets go over some of its highlights:

- it's free

- it syncs contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, photos, videos, text messages, music, and documents

- it lets you easily share photos and videos you've taken on your cell phone from the web

- it offers 200 MB of free storage; not a bad number, but not exactly stellar, either

- it syncs your phone with the web automatically, once per day, or manually, whenever you want

All in all, it sounds like a solid service, and it comes on the heels of Microsoft finishing the next version of its mobile OS - Windows Mobile 6.5 - which is due out later this year. Perhaps Microsoft is finally on the way of restoring its former mobile glory (hint: I wouldn't bet on it before Windows Mobile 7 ships, and that should be second half of 2010)?
