What's the deal with Microsoft's new web browser?

In order to expand its reach beyond Windows users who are too lazy to download another browser, Microsoft recently created Spartan as a way to stand up against the likes of Chrome and Safari.

In Mashable'a newest episode of Ask A Dev, web developer Brady Higginbotham explains why Microsoft may have a shot at regaining some web surfers, thanks to Spartan's Cortana integration, new reader mode and support for extensions.

But most important is its new EdgeHTML engine, which is guaranteed to delight developers by increasing interoperability with other browsers, and updating compliancy with modern web standards.
