Take a Mid-Leap Shot for our Photo Challenge

For this week's Mashable Photo Challenge Guest Series, we want to see your best mid-leap photos. Make gravity-defying illusions by setting up creative jump shots.

"A successful jumping photo captures energy and emotion," guest curator David Gamboa said. "It conveys a sense of fun and leaves the viewer wondering how exactly that image happened."

Gamboa is a marketing student at California State University, Fullerton. He has a passion for sharing stories through photographs and uses Instagram as his main sharing platform. His account is full of his signature "jumpstagram" shots taken in unique settings. He took the above photo on a horse trail.

Follow the directions below to submit your photo, and Gamboa will choose his favorite submissions to feature on Mashable. When capturing a silhouette, "jumping abnormally high or using blank walls usually helps," he advised. "Use perspectives to your advantage. Shooting from very low, at eye-level and high up can alter a photo in crazy ways. Try some of them out and see what I mean."
